Since 2013 I have curated the identity and art direction for Attic Music, the independent electronic music label founded by Fabrizio Lapiana in 2008. The aim was to translate the label’s hypnotic, atmospheric and deeply textural sound into a coherent visual language rooted in minimalism, materiality and underground culture. Based in Rome and later connected to the wider Berlin techno scene, Attic Music became a respected name within contemporary deep and hypnotic techno, releasing music from artists such as Donato Dozzy, Voices From The Lake, Conrad Van Orton, Pyramidal Decode and many others from the European and international underground scene. The label developed a distinctive identity through its carefully curated sonic direction, limited vinyl editions and strong visual consistency.
